On October 12th, Lee Carlson Center is holding their 5th Annual RoofRaiser- raising money and awareness for mental health with a focus on their work with youth and families throughout Anoka County. On that date community leaders have agreed to camp overnight in tents on Bob's Produce in Fridley.
According to Lee Carlson Center Marketing/Development Manager, Patty Halvorson “We are so grateful to Rhonda Sivarajah, Scott Lund and the many other local leaders who are giving their time (and possibly a warm bed for a night) to help us raise $ and awareness for mental health. Without donations from individuals and businesses the great work our staff is doing to help kids and families would not be possible. We hope everyone will donate in advance to their favorite RoofRaiser team and we also encourage everyone to stop by BoB’s Produce on Friday, October 12th after 5pm to support the event. Food will be provided, courtesy of BoB’s. Entertainment includes Culver’s Jammers, a local bluegrass band and a performance at 6pm by The ‘nMotion Dance Studio Performance Team.”
Donations can be made online at www.leecarlsoncenter.org.
