Volunteer from 9am-1pm at Lincoln Elementary in Anoka on Friday April 17th in a Kindergarten - 5th grade classroom. Nineteen total classes will be participating in this fun whole school JA event on 4/17 supported by 40 volunteers. Every class at Lincoln will have a team of JA volunteers who will be facilitating 5 grade specific JA lessons to thier class during the 4 hour JA in a Day visit. JA lessons use hands-on activities to help students better understand what it means to be a responsible citizen, consumer and worker. The volunteers share thier personal stories and bring the JA lessons to life, teaching students about entrepreneurship, how to manage money, and providing them with the skills needed to succeed in school and beyond.
No experince is needed. JA provides all the materails, training and support. Watch a video of a volunteer in a 1st grade classroom on this link See a synopsis of each of the 5 lessons in the 3rd grade (JA Our City) program and the kit of JA materials that is provided to volunteers via this link. Tell us what grade you want to work with Kindergarten - 5th grade.
Help inspire youth to be all that they can be!
