DESCRIPTION:On given night\, there are more than\, 13\,000 youth experiencing homelessness in Minnesota. When the darkness of night sets in\, these youth are staying in shelters\, sleeping on the streets and in cars\, and couch-hopping. Many are alone and hopeless. HOPE 4 Youth is there to ensure all youth will feel safe\, valued and supported while reaching their full potential. This begins with meeting their basic needs and leads to supporting them with the resources and skills needed to find and keep stable housing. \n\n\n\nJoin us for The Darkest Night 4K on Saturday\, September 16th\, and encourage your friends/family to walk or run with you! This outdoor event is great for groups\, companies\, and families. Your participation in this 8th annual event will help raise awareness of what youth experience and critical funds so they never have to experience it again.  \n\n \n\nYou will have the opportunity to pick up your t-shirt at our Open House on August 19th. Our Open House will be at our Drop-In Center from 10 am - 1 pm. There will be snacks\, activities\, the opportunity to register\, and fundraising materials!\n\n\n\nThe Darkest Night 4K\n\n\n\nWHAT   4K Run/Walk (non-timed)\n\n \n\nWHEN   Saturday\, September 16\, 2023\n\n\n\n6:30 pm - Participant Registration & Check-In Opens\n\n7:00 pm - Welcome Runners\n\n7:15 pm - Runners Kick Off\n\n7:45 pm - Program\n\n8:00 pm - Walkers Kick Off
