DESCRIPTION:The Minnesota Skills-Based Hiring Accelerator is a regional partnership of nonprofits\, chambers and workforce boards that is working to expand the use of skills-based talent strategies in the MSP region.\n\n\n\nThis workshop is the hallmark of the Accelerator Program and follows the full lifecycle of an employee: job descriptions\, interviewing\, orientation\, onboarding\, professional development / upskilling and finally offboarding.\n\n\n\nParticipants are able to walk away with a clear understanding of what skills and competencies are versus credentials and certifications and where there are opportunities to make these changes at their company.\n\n\n\nThe curriculum additionally includes system-change coaching which assists participants at all levels of a company the ability to walk away from the workshop with best practices in hand to take back to their leadership with a case for skills-based practices grounded in data. \n\n\n\nThis half day workshop is a nationally recognized delivery model and is a SHRM certified activity.
