DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the groundbreaking of Alexandra House's exciting new addition. Over the past two years\, Alexandra House has been dedicated to transforming into a pet-safe shelter for survivors' pets. We understand the challenges survivors face when they are forced to leave their pets behind in a violent situation. I am thrilled to announce that we have recently secured the final piece of funding required to begin the construction and renovation of this project. \n\nOur objective is to begin accepting pets into our shelter by January 2025. To accomplish this\, we have partnered with Don't Forget the Pets and RedRover to convert three existing bedrooms into pet-safe spaces\, establish outdoor pet kennels\, and create an outdoor pet relief and enrichment area.
