JOB SUMMARY: Effectively and efficiently coordinate completion of customer repairs

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedules service work for efficient and productive work outcomes,
  • Greets customers in a timely friendly manner,
  • Creates, writes and completes repair orders,
  • Documents accurate description of customer complaints,
  • Up-sells when appropriate,
  • References vehicle history, warranty coverage, open campaigns, etc.,
  • Primary contact for providing service estimates and repair explanations to customers on a timely basis,
  • Obtains customer signatures and approvals,
  • Determines payment methods and obtains required approvals,
  • Updates customers on repair status,
  • Audits repair orders for completion,
  • Coordinates customer parking,
  • Responds to telephone and in-person inquiries in a professional manner,
  • Maintains professional appearance,
  • Keeps work area clean,
  • Other duties to meet business requirements.

 

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent,
  • Minimum 6 months of mechanical experience in transportation industry.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Service writing/advising experience,
  • CDL holder,
  • Background and understanding of trucks and truck equipment,
  • Experience working in a truck repair facility,
  • Practical knowledge and abilities to use computer and computer applications,
  • Customer service experience.
