Job Description
Mate Precision Tooling is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager responsible for all strategic and operational supply chain functions, at our Anoka, MN, production facility.  This is a career position with a world-class manufacturer of CNC punch press tooling, press brake tooling, and forming applications for the sheet metal fabrication industry.

Major Responsibilities
  • Plans, organizes, directs and controls activities related to the planning of all material
  • Develops systems to evaluate vendor quotations and vendor performance, using appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery and service
  • Negotiates requests for material, equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Understand and negotiate supplier contracts
  • Support capital project management and negotiating
  • Organizes, supervises, and directs the work of personnel engaged in planning, purchasing, receiving, stocking, issuing, and delivering raw material, finished goods items, blanks, supplies and tooling
  • Responsible for physical inventory management
  • Develop and mentor staff to offer best-in-class supply chain control to the organization
  • Expedites high priority customer orders, and systematically analyzes internal delivery performance
  • Works with other department managers to achieve the best overall results for the organization as a whole
  • Leads continuous improvement efforts within department and assists other areas as needed
Requirements
  • BS or BA degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business or a related Field
  • Minimum 5+ years of related purchasing and inventory, planning and forecasting systems
  • Must have 5 to 10 years of purchasing for a manufacturing facility with MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operating) buying experience
  • Previous experience managing direct reports
  • Previous experience with MRP/ERP systems
  • Previous experience with Oracle purchasing software highly desired
  • International purchasing experience
  • Professional certification such as APICS or CPM is preferred, but not required
  • Represent Mate Precision Tooling in a professional manner
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills
  • Robust Excel and Access Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team player
