Watermelon Hill by Lily Baber Coyle:
In 1965, unmarried pregnant women were 'sent away' to deliver babies in secret, put them up for adoption, and not tell a sole. Where did these women go? They went to Watermelon Hill. This is a heartbreaking, hilarious, and hard-to-believe story of three such unwed mothers and the nuns, priests, social workers, doctor, parents and 'unwed fathers' who made it all possible.
