Focus. That's the Key to Business Success

In 2009 there was a fascinating study conducted in Germany that proved that people truly walk in circles. Do you ever feel like you are walking in circles? Working hard, working consistently, and yet, not making the progress we want and need to see. As a business owner or leader, especially for small to midsize businesses, it’s hard not to feel that way. We are intimately involved in our businesses, we know what needs to be done, and we are pulled in many different directions.  We spend our time working IN the business rather than ON the business.  When we are busy, constantly taking, we don’t always take the step back to focus.
 
And we’re not the only ones that feel it, our teams feel it too. We hire employees and see a few different situations. High performing employees who are constantly busy, taking initiative and getting things done, yet we are not seeing the business results we want and need. Or employees to stand around and wait to be told what to do. In both situations, our teams lack focus.
