Hiring our Heroes

Description

Our veterans can face unique challenges returning to the workforce. With an alarming 26.9 percent of our young veterans unemployed, we have seen a need to coordinate efforts between government agencies, non-profits, and the business community to highlight this important issue and also directly help our veterans.

Hiring our Heroes is a nationwide campaign by the U.S. Chamber to connect veterans and military spouses with employers. The main focus of effort is on conducting 100 hiring fairs for veterans and military spouses in local communities across the country.

In partnership with the American Legion during its national convention, Hiring our Heroes will host a veterans hiring fair in Minneapolis at the Minneapolis Convention Center on August 27^th.
