This family-friendly event will raise money to provide weekend food packs for children in need in participating schools all over the Twin Cities.\n\n\n\nOver 300\,000 children in the state of Minnesota live with food insecurity. While there are many programs providing lunch and breakfast to children at school\, the weekend presents a gap during which children struggle with hunger. Every Meal is leveraging community and school partnerships to fight child hunger by providing a weekend's supply of food to hungry children.\n\n\n\nEvery Meal facilitates a partnership between community organizations. These organizations sponsor a school\, which encompasses investing in the relationship with the school and also paying for\, packing\, and distributing food directly to the children. Every Meal provides the logistical\, sourcing\, and organizational expertise necessary to execute the process of providing a weekend food supply. The goal of the partnerships is to feed hungry children while developing a lasting relationship between the community and the school.\n\n\n\nThis is now especially crucial with children during this ongoing pandemic\, where nearly 50% more children are expected to have food insecurities this year. This number of children facing food insecurities in Minnesota is expected to climb to one of the highest rates in decades.\n\n\n\nThe Packed With Love Challenge efforts go directly to benefit Every Meal's Mission. Your involvement in this challenge is imperative to help them maintain the level of donations promised\, to provide the children with food they need to learn and grow.\n\n\n\nThe event will take place from Sunday\, September 12th through Saturday\, September 25th\, 2021. The challenge is for each registered participant to move their feet by running\, walking\, swimming\, biking\, or even unicycling to reach a personal goal by logging in their daily miles.
