Howard led Vascular Solutions continuously for 20 years\, through its IPO in 2000 and growth into a 100-product worldwide medical device business with over 650 employees. Howard is listed on 21 of Vascular Solutions' U.S. patents and is the inventor of the company's top-selling GuideLiner catheter. In February 2017\, Howard sold Vascular Solutions to Teleflex Medical for $1 billion.
