DESCRIPTION:Just about everyone has heard about the pending workforce shortage and about the workforce skills gap. Some of our members are already experiencing a difficult time filling certain positions. MetroNorth has attended many workshops where startling statistics on workforce issues are discussed.\n\n \n\nMetroNorth believes that it is time to stop talking and time to start DOING. Our Workforce Development Committee\, whose purpose is to "bring business and education together to ensure a high caliber workforce in the Anoka County area\," is pleased to host an event on April 22 featuring the U of M President Eric Kaler. President Kaler will talk about workforce and education issues. Members will be given a chance to share their stories.
